It also decides on CGA-PAKISTAN\u00ae \u2018s strategic policy objectives, monitors our performance in relation to them and oversees our annual budget.<\/p>\n<p>The Council is responsible for all the matters set out in the Charter and byelaws. The Council manages the Institute\u2019s business including oversight of the Divisional Committees, and setting and maintaining the qualification standard required for being a member.<\/p>\n<p>It is composed of up to Chairman\/ President, two Vice Presidents, Secretary and the Executive Members.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>The Role of Executive Council:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Executive Council is CGA-PAKISTAN\u00ae \u2018s primary governance body. Council members are volunteer custodians, elected from, and by, CGA-PAKISTAN\u00ae \u2018s membership, to provide overall stewardship as to CGA-PAKISTAN\u00ae \u2018s well being.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>What do the Executive Council members do?<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Executive Council members act on behalf of the whole CGA-PAKISTAN\u00ae membership and are responsible for ensuring that CGA-PAKISTAN\u00ae \u2018s development continues in line with its stated mission and values.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>By doing this, Council has an important public value role, being ultimately responsible for safeguarding CGA-PAKISTAN\u00ae \u2018s reputation, image and brand to ensure that these are protected and improved for the benefit of our members and future members, their clients, employers and the public at large.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Executive Council responsibilities:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>CGA-PAKISTAN\u00ae Executive Council has a wide ranging remit that includes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensuring that CGA-PAKISTAN\u00ae operates in the public interest and delivers the objectives stated in our Charter<\/li>\n<li>Setting the overall direction of CGA-PAKISTAN\u00ae through regular approval of CGA-PAKISTAN\u00ae strategy<\/li>\n<li>Engaging with CGA-PAKISTAN\u00ae members to explain and promote CGA-PAKISTAN\u00ae \u2018s strategic direction<\/li>\n<li>Providing an objective environment for the executive team to explore new ideas or challenges.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Executive Council and the executive team collaborate in order to devise CGA-PAKISTAN\u00ae \u2018s strategy which is then approved by Council. Delivery of strategy is the responsibility of the executive team, with governance of the process and performance management provided by Council.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>CGA-PAKISTAN\u00ae Council Committees:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In order to efficiently perform responsibilities in accordance with the guidelines provided by the Executive Council, CGA-PAKISTAN\u00ae has formed the following committees.<br \/>\n<strong>Executive Committee:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Executive Committee is responsible for overseeing the long-term strategic plans developed under the leadership of the Chairman\/President and agreed by the Council. It also makes recommendations to Council on the annual business plan and annual budget.<\/p>\n<p>It is composed of the honorary officers of Council plus the Chairman of the as well as one other member of the Council co-opted by the Committee.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Nomination Committee:<\/strong><br \/>\nThe Nomination Committee is responsible for nominating the next President and any Vice-Presidents for Council\u2019s approval. It is made up of the current and Past Presidents serving on Council.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Examination Committee:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Examination Committee will be responsible for conducting the exam according to the policy set by the Executive Council.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Professional Standards Committee:<\/strong><br \/>\nThe Professional Standards Committee maintains and adopt \u00a0the international professional standard for qualified members. It is a standing committee of the Council. The President and immediate Past President are members of the committee. Other members are selected for their professional and academic expertise.<\/p>\n<p>Management of CGA-PAKISTAN\u00ae\u00a0 \u00a0is vested in the Council which comprises members elected by CGA-PAKISTAN\u00ae . \u00a0Up to two of the most recent Past Presidents who are eligible and willing to be members of the Council also serve in an ex-officio capacity.<\/p>\n<p>The Management Committee is made up of members elected by CGA-PAKISTAN\u00ae\u00a0 \u00a0members living in the Pakistan. CGA-PAKISTAN\u00ae\u00a0 \u2019s affairs in the rest of the world, excluding Management and the divisions, will be managed by the Council.<\/p>\n<p>Governance of CGA-PAKISTAN\u00ae\u00a0 \u00a0in the Pakistan and overseas is managed by the Management Committee and its sub-committees<\/p>\n<h3>Management Committee<\/h3>\n<p>The Management Committee manages the affairs of the Institute and controls all assets, liabilities, income and expenditure of the Institute. The Committee is composed of:<\/p>\n<p>Any Management member on the Council elected to Honorary Office (of the Institute as opposed to the Management region or Division) by the Council;<\/p>\n<p>The two most recent Past Presidents or Management Committee if they are willing and able to serve;<\/p>\n<p>Those members elected to the Committee by the members in Management such number to be determined by the Management Committee from time to time having due regard to the effectiveness and operating costs of the Committee.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Oversight Committee:<\/strong><br \/>\nThe Oversight Committee is responsible for supervising the overall Management and administration of the Institute within Management. It monitors and reports on the implementation of policies, plans and budgetary performance to the Management Committee.<\/p>\n<p>The Oversight Committee recommends to the Management Committee the appointment of the Chief Executive, remuneration issues and any subsequent actions it has authorized the Chief Executive to take in support of agreed policies and plans. It is chaired by the Management President and is composed of the Immediate Past President, the Vice-Presidents, and the Chairman of the Audit &amp; Management Committee.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Audit &amp; Accounts Committee:<\/strong><br \/>\nThe Audit &amp; Accounts Committee helps the Management Committee meet its responsibilities with regard to financial systems and controls including regulatory and statutory compliance, Financial Management, and ethical standards.<br \/>\nThe Committee is composed of members of the Management Committee, one of whom shall be the Chairman of the Committee. At least one member of the Committee shall have recent, relevant financial experience.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Research and Publications Committee:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Research and Publications Committee will be responsible and manage the monthly news letter and the other publications for the advancement of the members and students. It will also be responsible for the research and development and up to date the standard of CGA-PAKISTAN\u00ae curriculum according to today\u2019s and future market need.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Corporate Relations Committee:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Corporate Relation Committee will be in contact with corporate professionals, financial institutions and the other related companies to introduce the CGA-PAKISTAN\u00ae vision and methodology through day to day meetings , seminars, conferences and with the use of social media.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Qualifications Committee:<\/strong><br \/>\nThe Qualifications Committee is responsible for advising the Management Committee on all aspects of professional education and development within Management. The Chairman is appointed by the Management Committee from its membership. The Committee is composed of other members on the basis of their experience, including in the wider education community.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Membership Committee:<\/strong><br \/>\nThe Membership Committee is responsible for recommending candidates to the Management Committee for admission to membership. The Chairman is appointed by the Management Committee from its membership and the Committee is composed of a minimum of four other CGA-PAKISTAN\u00ae\u00a0 \u00a0Fellows.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Nomination Committee:<\/strong><br \/>\nThe Nomination Committee is responsible for the nominations for Council elections and the nomination of Management Honorary officers.<br \/>\nThe Committee is composed of the Management President, the Immediate Past President, one Vice-President and three Management Committee members.
